Survival shelters are one of our top priorities in the wilderness. A bug out shelter with a raised platform is one of the best ways to make sure that your survival shelter is out of reach of animals, wet ground and crawlers. A Raised platform shelter is easy to build with the right skills, and in this video I used a square hitch and evenk hitch in order to raise my shelter off the ground. A raised platform shelter can be built by one person and doesn’t necessarily require a group effort. I consider this skills a bug out essential for shelter building.
